Keep product evidence, exposure details and practical controls together. JobDocs helps you prepare a COSHH assessment for the way a substance is used or generated on your job, with editable trade starters and your own source information.
Start with cement, tile adhesive, paints, solvents, silicone, pipe jointing products, electrical contact cleaner, cable lubricant, resin anchors or roofing products. The library also covers generated hazards such as masonry dust, wood dust, soldering fume and welding fume, plus EWI basecoat and thin-coat render. Choose a starter, then identify the exact product or material.
Describe the activity, work area, quantity, concentration, frequency and duration. Identify the people who could be exposed and the routes by which harm could occur. Record health effects and relevant exposure limits from the current evidence. Product classifications and numerical limits are supplied by the assessor from the actual source information.
Consider avoiding or substituting the substance, changing the process, controlling release and protecting adjacent people. Record engineering measures, safe working procedures, PPE and respiratory protection, hygiene, storage, waste and training. Selectable options help you build the wording, while highlighted prompts show where the job details still need completing.
Attach the manufacturer’s PDF or other source evidence to the saved draft. Purchased products have fields for the SDS title, revision, date and supplier. Process-generated hazards use relevant guidance and evidence. Issued versions retain the original attachments, and the assessment PDF records the evidence filename and fingerprint so you can identify the exact source used.
Record first aid, spillage, fire response, checks, health surveillance decisions and further actions. Add a review date and link the assessment to your RAMS. Save reusable product details and controls as a preset, then review the exposure and conclusions for each new job. Issued assessments show when their review date is due in the document register.
Create a private download link for an issued COSHH assessment. Clients, site managers and main contractors can open it without registering. Add an expiry or revoke the link, and keep earlier issued versions separate from later revisions. You can also include the safety data sheets attached to that issued assessment.

The current tools are the RAMS generator and COSHH assessment builder. RAMS combines a risk assessment and method statement. COSHH records substance or process exposure, evidence, controls and review arrangements. Each tool must be enabled on your account.
Yes. You can create unlimited documents with the tools included in your active plan or granted access. There is no document credit counter. Uploaded logos and source PDFs have separate storage allowances shown in the workspace.
The RAMS library has 35 job starters across electrical, plumbing, heating, roofing, rendering, EWI, plastering, carpentry, decorating, flooring, groundworks and other construction work. COSHH has 36 substance and task starters. All wording is editable and you can save your own presets.
Yes. Upload a PNG, JPEG or WebP logo in Company details. JobDocs prepares it for your branded PDFs. Your company name, address and contact details are copied into new documents and can be edited for a particular job.
